About Me

Hi, I’m Roselyn Mariano, though most people know me as Rosie. I’m a Filipino writer and artist behind Letters from Rosie, a little corner I started on Medium in May 2024. I began writing there simply because I had so many things I wanted to say, and I hoped that somewhere along the way, someone might find a little comfort in my words.

I write about healing, hope, self-love, growing through life, and learning to live at your own pace. Most of what I write comes from things I’ve felt, experienced, and sometimes struggled to put into words. Writing became a way for me to make sense of those feelings, but more than that, it became a way to remind others that they don’t have to go through everything alone.

Over time, Letters from Rosie grew into a community of readers across Medium, Substack, Instagram, TikTok, and beyond. I’m incredibly grateful for every person who has stayed, read my words, shared their own stories, or simply found a little comfort in something I wrote.

That same intention led me to create The Silent Notes Archive—a space for the things we often keep to ourselves. It’s for the overthinkers, the quiet ones, and anyone carrying thoughts or feelings they’ve never quite known how to say out loud. Inspired by the work of Geloy Concepcion, I wanted The Silent Notes to be a place where people could leave their words without having to explain everything behind them.

Outside of writing, I love illustrating, painting, taking photographs, drinking matcha, and spending time with cats. I find inspiration in ordinary days, small moments, old memories, and the little things that make life worth noticing.

At the heart of everything I create, I simply hope my words can reach someone at the right moment—to make them feel seen, understood, and a little less alone.
